A "Beachy Little Mini"

Well hopefully you have seen the newest Tim Coffey line, released late spring.  Just in time for Summer fun, Tim's travel collection was On SALE!  yippee at Joann's and Michaels so I couldn't resist.  I had so much fun making, not one, but two beach mini albums. One for me and one more masculine one for my hubby.   I also used, from my "hoard vault" the G45 lines "Tropical Travelogue" and "On the Boardwalk" and K & Co's "Seaglass" collection.  Another item I used was "Goosebumps".  It's a spray product that dries to a "splotchy" sheen.  Great for water effects or adding texture to your layouts and tags.  Two more things I pulled out of my stash were the Prima Ledger Paper stacks.  You'll see I used them as pull outs or on the back of tags.  Make great journaling pieces and you can always just lay a picture on top if that's more your style...but these pads have lots of color combos and one or more always seem to match what I need.

We are so looking forward to going to Florida this fall, I love the beach in late fall, early winter...just so majestic and awe inspiring...Here's more pics of "my" mini and I will upload the video of my hubbies...hope you enjoy!

I had so much fun mixing and matching the paper lines.  Here I used the K and Co Seaglass and G45 much more vibrant lines.  But I just love how it came out..
One these pages, I used some of the beautiful artwork from the Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk collection. Some of them already had a soft watercolor look to them..but the ones that didn't I just "watercolored"  very softly to match my papers.  I also used artwork from the G45 Tropical Travelogue line.  I didn't care too much for the ladies pictures that were on them, but loved loved loved the colors, so I just layered the older G45 artwork over the parts I didn't like and voila!  a perfect match for my journal and just my style!

Notice the beautiful kiwi green pull out?  Yep, more of the  Prima Ledger paper stack...I just love them...

That pull out at the top is more of the Prima Ledger papers.  It might have been designed to go with one of their paper lines, but matched this beachy paper perfectly!  And I didn't have to stamp any journaling lines...yippee!

Here's where I used the Goosebumps can't really see the effect here, but it gave this flap a really cool watery look.  Okay, enough already about this little mini...hope you enjoyed and I just know you will love the Tim Coffey Travel line....

have fun scrapping,

I've just been diagnosed with a bad bad case of M.O.E.

Well, it's official.  I have it and there's no cure...but fortunately if I die from it, I will certainly die happy!  What is it you ask...well it's M.O.E.  Must Own Everthing.  Everything related to scrapbooking videos I watch on youtube that is...

I watched this amazingly funny video the other day and was so happy to know I am not alone!  Nope, there are hundreds, maybe thousands of us hopelessly addicted to scrappy happy supplies.  And I couldn't be happier.  Oh of course I may have to work til two years past my death to pay for all these wonderful scrapbook supplies, but I can do.  It will be worth it, just to have that one more punch, oh and that paper, and those new Prima flowers.  sigh,

Well's the link to peacenpassions wonderful youtube video:

Be sure to watch it you will not be disappointed!  But be careful, you may find you have the "bug" too.

Happy scrapping to everyone,

It's a beautiful day!

Today is such a happy day for me!  I am in Houston, Tx, getting the second and I hope the last surgery on my eye.  And so far so good!  Of course you know the scrapper in me can't wait to break out the paper and glue and make a new mini...yep, you guessed about the beauty all around us!

But before I get to that, I wanted to share a sunny fun mini I made recently.  Using Prima's Sun Kiss collection, it is cheery in soft aqua's, mint green and gorgeous yellows and golds.  If you haven't already seen the line I hope this little mini will make you want to take a closer look.

Well, I hope you enjoy this beautiful summer ahead, and enjoy all around you...
Have fun scrapping,

Just a little mini album I made for my son and daughter-in-love....

It was so much fun making this mini for my son.  I used lots of SEI papers and Martha Stewart punches.   The base for the mini is beautiful matte metallic silver envelopes and cards I got at Michaels.  Then I just used the beautiful white and soft cream wedding papers from SEI and glitter papers from Doodlebug and lots of fun bling from Prima, Martha Stewart and Recollections.  I made the box and used trusty old Microsoft Word to make the title pieces, using the font "Selfish".  Terrible name for such a beautiful font...

Normally I scrap first, with just a mental image of where pictures will go.  This time I scrapped to show off the pictures.  Oh what beautiful pictures they were...  Just imagine -  young and in love, and having a beautiful wedding in Venice, Italy...sigh....truly a dream come true...

To John and Brianne, all our love, best wishes and prayers for a blessed future are yours....

Abrand new year and my brand new calendar....

Well it's a brand new year and I am so excited to get started crafting!  As always, I am so inspired by all the wonderfully talented ladies and gentlemen on youtube and this past week has been no exception.  Laura Dennison, of highlighted her idea for a desktop mini that used her great new "stack the deck" binding.  It was a great idea...

...but as most of us crafters do, I had to adapt that wonderful idea to my own style.  So I pulled out all my Anna Griffin papers and stacks of cards I had gotten from Anna Griffin cardmaking kits on HSN and got busy.  The bigger envelopes were either ones I had gotten from Archivers or made myself from printed papers. So after a day, or two, of fun crafting, I just love the outcome ( so far, lol) of my new desktop mini.  I hope you take a minute and enjoy this video.
Now while you are doing that, I'm going to get back to scouring the web for all the newest sneak peeks for the Spring 2012 launches. Because despite the piles and piles of beautiful papers around me, oh joy, there are more beautiful new ones to be had this wonderful new year!

So the very best and brightest to you all and the happiest of new years!
